Sharron Barth
Sharron fell in love with GYROKINESIS ® over 10 years ago, practicing the method for many years before becoming a certified instructor. She draws on her experience as a former Cabrillo College Anatomy Instructor to increase her students' body awareness and enhance her teaching of the GYROKINESIS ® Method. Sharron’s goal for her students is to leave class with improved posture, feeling more flexible and balanced both inside and out, and having an overall sense of well-being. She welcomes movers and non-movers alike to experience this modality, allowing each student to move within their comfort zone with ease and joy.
When Sharron is not teaching GYROKINESIS®, you will find her hiking the local trails as she loves to hike, teaching her cat new tricks (Markie now performs 10 tricks and counting), or pursuing her passion for travel.
Denise Wendler’s passion for yoga has taken her all over the world. She began studying yoga in 1984, learning various styles with teachers in California and Japan. In 1992, she took her first Iyengar class and connected with it so strongly that it changed the course of her life. After graduating from the Iyengar Institute of San Francisco, comprehensive training and rigorous certification examinations in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Between 2005 and 2019, Denise studied with the Iyengar family in Pune at the Ramamani Memorial Iyengar Yoga Institute, passed her third certification in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, completed a 3-year Therapeutic Teacher Training program, and completed the four-module course on the Yoga Sutras in Study and Practice through the Vidya Institute. Denise continues the study of all 8 limbs of Yoga with Lois Steinberg, through the Vidya Institute with Gloria Goldberg and Gitte Beechsgaard, and with her mentor, Elise Miller.
Meet the Instructors
Denise Wendler
Denise’s encouraging spirit and patient instruction draw faithful students to her classes. She teaches classes, workshops and retreats in-person and online. She enjoys working with students of all abilities. In addition to coaching people to greater strength and flexibility, she hopes to guide them toward a focused center of self-awareness, for that is where all great journeys begin.
She is a CIYT (Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher), a C-IAYT (Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists), and an RYT 500 (Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance).

Gyrokinesis

Class runs for 4 weeks.

Experience the fluid and dynamic movements of Gyrokinesis® in this revitalizing class. Designed to enhance mobility, strength, and flexibility, we will explore spiraling motions, rhythmic sequences, and breathwork to awaken the entire body. The session is suitable for all levels, focusing on spinal mobility, joint articulation, and energetic alignment. Whether you are new or experienced, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, balanced, and more connected to your body’s natural flow.

Each class is $20 for day of payment. We also have a package of 8 available for $120.

Balance

1-hour class
Runs for 4 weeks.

Mixing information, exercises, drills, and stretches in a fun, safe environment, we challenge all the muscles and joints used in balance, coordination, and mobility. Increasing cognition, memory and general life agility are also addressed.

Yoga

Runs for 4 weeks.

Yoga for 50+
This class is focused on the special needs of students over 50. Props are provided to support students as needed. Open to all students who can get up and down from the floor. Please bring a blanket or beach towel, all other props provided.
Level 2 Yoga
This class is for continuing students with at least 1 year recent experience in Iyengar Yoga who are ready for a more intense practice. Shoulderstand will be introduced so please bring 2 or 3 Yoga blankets.
